Jo’s work is rooted in the elements. Abstract sea/colour-scapes focus on horizons, playing with gold, silver, copper leaf, oil... steel, rust, wax and verdigris - on wooden substrates. Oxidized iron spills into rust prints onto plaster and heavy paper. Steel becomes part of an oil painting. Wildflowers and hedgerows, create moody, highly textured landscapes, on large panels. Jo trained at Hornbeam Art College in Harrogate, and achieved her Fine Art Degree at Bradford University. You can see more of Jo’s work at her studio Rogues Atelier on Fossgate, York.
