Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage

Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage has established itself as one of the friendliest festivals on the Yorkshire coast — a must-see weekend in the regional arts calendar.

Step inside a village like no other as the doors of cottages are thrown open, transforming Staithes into a trail of pop-up art galleries showcasing painting, print, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, photography and more.

Alongside the open studios, enjoy a programme celebrating Staithes’ rich history and heritage, including walks, talks, photographs and film shows.

< Back to Artists

Liz is a printmaker and textile designer based in North Cumbria. This rural environment is a huge influence on her work. Her work can be separated into two distinct practices; limited edition original linocuts which are detailed and involve printing, by hand, a number of layers to build up an image, and; textile designs which also begin as a linocut and are then either sustainably printed in England or transferred onto silk screens which she screen prints by hand onto natural fabric.

Venue: East View, High Street, Staithes, TS13 5BQ

Medium: Printmaker, Textile Designer
