Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage

Staithes Festival has established itself as one of the friendliest festivals on the Yorkshire coast – a must-see event in the regional arts calendar.

Doors of cottages are thrown open as pop-up art galleries in a unique selling exhibition.

Visitor parking at Cowbar

There’s no visitor parking at the bottom of the Old Village. During the festival, please use the visitor car parks in the Cowbar fields.

To get there, take the Cowbar exit off the A174 (opposite Boulby Mine) and follow the festival parking signs. Please do not park on the grass verges — park only where directed by our stewards.

Free Taxi Shuttle

The free taxi is to enable any one with mobility difficulties to get up and down from the old village. It will operate 10.30am-4:30pm Saturday and Sunday, with pick up and drop off points at the village hall in Cliff Road, and Chapel Yard in the High Street.

Parking at the top of Staithes village

There are council and private car parks. Do not park in residents’ bays and on verges or in residential streets. Please be courteous and considerate to local residents at all times.
