Visitor parking at Cowbar

There is no visitor parking in the Old Village (bottom of Staithes). During the festival, please use the festival visitor car parks in the Cowbar fields.

To get there, take the Cowbar exit off the A174 (opposite Boulby Mine) and follow the festival parking signs to:

Cowbar Lane, Staithes, TS13 5BA (approximately 1 mile north of Staithes on the A174).

Please do not park on grass verges — park only where directed by our stewards.

• Walk: Around 10 minutes down into the village (steep hill)
• FREE SHUTTLE BUS: For anyone who needs it, we run a free shuttle bus to the top of Staithes Bank (ideal if the hill is difficult).

Free Taxi Shuttle

The free taxi is to enable any one with mobility difficulties to get up and down from the old village. It will operate 10.30am-4:30pm Saturday and Sunday, with pick up and drop off points at the village hall in Cliff Road, and Chapel Yard in the High Street.

Parking at the top of Staithes village

There are council and private car parks. Do not park in residents’ bays and on verges or in residential streets. Please be courteous and considerate to local residents at all times.
