Felty And Fabulous

< Back to Artists

Brenda Christison (Felty and Fabulous) is a needle-felter from York. Formerly a headteacher, her work explores a renewed appreciation of life after redundancy. A member of Staithes Arts and Crafts and the International Felt-makers Association, much of her work is inspired by the changing seasons of the Yorkshire coast and countryside. Needle-felting onto vintage blankets lends her work a uniqueness in terms of colour, texture and history. Signature pieces include wild landscapes, seascapes and hares, with hand embroidery adding detail. Always a teacher at heart, she promotes this mindful, magical skill by leading workshops and creating kits. Commissions always welcome!

Venue: Corner House, Gun Gutter
